TIM HUGHES SONGS

The journey so far

Like so many worship leaders, Tim Hughes picked up a guitar so that he could worship in his bedroom. “I would spend hours learning songs” says Tim. But the time he spent taught him more than just chord progressions and melodies. He learned how to put honest words and feelings into song. And he learned how to wait on God.
Later in his teenage years Tim connected with Mike Pilavachi. “He encouraged me and gave me some opportunities to lead worship. Doors kept opening up, and I kept walking through them.”
Tim went on to co-found Worship Central and to write many well loved songs, from Here I Am To Worship and Happy Day, to Beautiful One, Jesus Saves, At Your Name, and The Way.

Now

Today Tim is an ordained minister within the Anglican church. “I’m most passionate about seeing people come alive in Jesus and discovering the fullness of life that is found in Him.”
He continues to lead Worship Central, whose new album - ‘Stir A Passion’ - releases in May 2018. The Worship Central Academy continues to train and equip leaders for the church

The Story behind the Song: When The Tears Fall

We don't spend much time singing about the harder aspects of life, do we? Tim Hughes wonders if we're missing out on something.

Less Theory: More Love Affair

With all the scientific and medical advances, sometimes it is hard to find anything that astounds and surprises us. Mystery and wonder have been lost. Take the sense of wonder from human beings and you make them the poorer. Looking...
