Maybe you’re firmly in the YES camp. You certainly don’t have a problem with worship leaders being on staff, and you don’t see a problem in churches paying to help create the most engaging worship environment possible. Professional musicians are nothing to be ashamed of in church.

Or maybe this idea leaves you shouting NO. You understand that summer festivals and big worship gigs will often pay the teams involved, but the fact that those events levy an entry charge makes them fundamentally different to church. Church, in your mind, is about a local community uniting to serve God and each other. Getting paid to worship with your community just seems wrong.

Or maybe you’re somewhere in the middle. Are you a professional musican? If so, how do you navigate this one?

Maybe Jerry has the answers...

Meet JamHub - because silent is the new loud!

It’s not often you get a ‘perfect fit’ for worship bands – but the JamHub could well run that risk. All the musicians in the band can plug in to one small unit, and then with headphones attached they can all rehearse in ‘silence’. If you’re able to team it with an electric drum kit, which are extremely affordable, then you have the ideal practice tool for worship bands. We asked Stuart Barbour, Worship Pastor at The Point Church in Burgess Hill in West Sussex to review it with his worship team.
