For a man who reportedly grew up a Christian but left his faith in his teens, Bruce Springsteen spends a lot of time singing Gospel tunes and songs whuch place the Gospel right at the heart of the lyrics...

...Add to that his fondness for songs about broken lives and the search for hope and meaning, and bundle everything up with his phenomenal stage presence, and there's a good case for suggesting that the Boss is the best of his kind at leading people into the presence of the LORD.
